THE CHANTRY SCHOOL FRIENDS
The School has a flourishing ‘Friends’ Association.
Every parent of a child attending the school is a member, and there is no
subscription. Officers and Committee members are elected at the Annual
General Meeting which is held in October. A broad programme of events for
the ‘Friends’ is arranged each year. Meetings of the ‘Friends.’ take place
usually on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.30 p.m. in the Staff Room. The
events include items of educational interest as well as social and fund raising
activities about which staff and parents are notified well in advance.
The Association was formed in 1963 and has, since then, raised well over
£100,000 towards school projects, such as the Music/Drama Room and Mini
Bus. All Staff are welcome to join the Committee and become involved in its activities.
